What is your favorite Maureen O'Hara film?

Mine has to be either "The Spanish Main" or "The Quiet Man!"…

She's the reason I prefer redheads. Very classy and talented. The Quiet Man is really good. She was generally pretty fiery in many of her films.

Thanks,

John

Definately a fiery redhead in The Quiet Man and McClintock. THE 2 John Wayne films we watch as a family, whenever they come on. Even my 22 and 15yo daughters love to watch them with us. I think they like how it shows her independance and toughness. Definately not a girly girl!

Rio Grande is up there— her first film with John Wayne. They were the perfect on screen match.

Happy Birthday, Ms. O'Hara!

Born for Technicolor, she was. Loved her in "The Black Swan" and many others. She still dominated the screen in "Only the Lonely" a few years ago with John Candy and Ally Sheedy. Happy Birthday beautiful lady!

Re: Only the Lonely

I had forgotten about that one! The final sequence where she takes out the hijackers is hilarious.

Oh yeah, she's a classic. Always draws the eye in whatever she's in.

Another vote for Rio Grande…

I've got to go with Quiet Man but then it's one of my all time favorites.

The question is do I like her in it because I like the movie or do I like the movie so much because she's in it?

Either way, a classic beauty.
