I want to recommend the Fantagraphic reprints of the Prince Valiant stories. I now bought and read the first 3 (Volume 4 is due next July) and I am tremendously enjoying reading them again after so many years. They really take me back to my parent's attic, endlessly reading and re-reading them on rainy afternoons sitting on the old Persian rug that had been laying there as long as I could remember (I had by then given up trying to get it to float).

Very nicely done books, beautifully printed and further enhanced by a part-by-part interview with Hal Foster.

A must-have as far as I am concerned!!

I bought the first volume as a present for a friend. They are indeed splendiferous.
