My wife's company, Air New Zealand, have done it again with a zany safety briefing. After previous safety videos featuring body-painted cabin crew, the All Blacks rugby team, and a furry muppet, the latest one features a guy I hadn't seen for years – the irrepressible Richard Simmons: YouTube link I'm not sure what I would think of this high-energy briefing on the red-eye to Auckland! |

Ummmm, I'd like to get off now. Please. Pretty please. |

Much more difficult to ignore than the usual stuff, you have to admit that. Of course, I'd be so annoyed looking at it that I would probably not remember all the stuff if I didn't already know it

That's hilarious, though I watched here at home with the sound muted! Man, Richard Simmons is looking pretty old

We're all getting older, it's true. At least he isn't trying to look 'young' with a dead squirrel on his head, like Donald Trump. I had the sound up for about 30 seconds, then killed it before Richard killed me

Aha! It's a ploy to keep people out of New Zealand! |

That was funnier with the sound off. |
