I began an anti-spam program a few months ago: answering them, getting a bite, reeling them in then exposing their gullibility by revealing all. I did this to fraudsters from Malaysia, Benin, Spain, Nigeria & China etc: maybe 40 times

This was in response to that account recieving 8-10+ spam/scams a week for several years.

But now: nothing. The stream of unwanted emails has pretty much dried up.

Do spammers compare notes? Is there a master-hit list & have I been taken off it?
Am I black-balled by the Con-Artists' League of Africa?

Not that I'm complaining.

Probably your queries would be too like a question from a law enforcement agency or press so they would prefer to stay hidden

good for you

I use mailwasher that sends a fake error message to the sender. I guess they do check for those because after a while my spam went down quite a bit.
