are the big bads in the new Nolanverse Batman movie. Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway will star with growling Christian Bale. You can figure out for yourself who is playing whom. |

Well, I think Tom can totally pull off the Catwoman suit, but Anne may be too skinny for Bane. |

I could get behind seeing Anne Hathaway in a cat suit. |

Bane is an excellent villain in his original comic incarnation. He's a physically powerful genius, just like Batman. But even hopped up on his super-steroids, he doesn't dare face Batman without more of an edge. He releases all the inmates at Arkham, forcing Batman to exhaust himself rounding them all up. In the meantime, Bane figures out Bruce Wayne is Batman. When Bats finally returns to the Batcave to rest, Bane is waiting. Bane completely thrashes Batman, breaking his back. Bane is awesome. Don't let "Batman & Robin" spoil him. |

"I could get behind seeing Anne Hathaway in a cat suit." Ditto, but take out "seeing". |

The best (indeed, maybe the ONLY good) thing about the Tim Burtonish Batmans was Michelle Pfeiffer in the catsuit

When I read the news about the Catwoman choice, my resolution to *not* see the new Batsy movies was horribly, horribly weakend. Curse you, franchise reboot! |

Anne Hathaway is not only really pretty, she's sweet too. She's a vast mprovement over Maggie Gyllenhall, IMHO. |

Sorry, Hexenhammer, I disagree. The introduction of Bane was nothing but a retread of old ideas mish-mashed into an "unbeatable villain" so DC could trot out that lame Azrael story line. For me, it marked DC's departure from intelligently crafted Batman stories into run-of-the-mill schlock. Bane was never more than 2-dimensional, and quite possibly the least compelling and least original villain ever conceived for the Batman rogues gallery. Heck, I'd rather they'd have trotted out Calendar Man. At least he had a decent shtick. |

I rather like Maggie. But Anne is OK too. I had nothing against Halle. Yes, I'm easy

mmmm Anne Hathaway! Definitely loving the idea of her in a cat suit! Thankfully the gf likes Tom Hardy, so we're all sorted for this one! |

She's a vast mprovement over Maggie Gyllenhall There's an understatement! After Dark Knight, it's "In Nolan we trust." He has already stated this will be his last Batman film, so I expect him to go out with a bang. |

Nothing at all wrong with Maggie. She was pretty in exactly the right way to be a DA and is a great actress. Big improvement over Mr. Cruise's beard. |

Jessica Biel also auditioned for the Catwoman part. I'd rather see her in skintight black leather than Anne. |

JEssica Biel would have been a great Catwoman. Still I would love to have seen Halle Berry get the job for a Batman matchum. She was not only sexy, but cool in that Eartha Kitt style. Oh well, I won't complain with Anne Hathaway as CW. |

Halle Berry? Really? I can only assume people are joking. I was under the impression that her "Catwoman" was generally regarded as being absolutely terrible! The film itself stank and recieved numerous worst film nominations. Berry herself won the worst actress award. In short, Berry's Catwoman bore no relation to the Catwoman premise at all and was apallingly bad. She certainly wouldn't get my vote. I don't really care who DOES get it, so long as some effort is made to have the movie Catwoman at least RESEMBLE the character and they at least try to make a good job of it. Berry had her chance. She blew it. |
