Who ya playin'? My last home game and tailgate of the season (save for @ USF) :( Duke! I swear, if it was anyone but Duke, I would hope we lose (if you don't win the conference, tank the rest of the season, I say) And Randy Shannon has a near perfect 1-8 record in November games :) Cincy at Pitt? Big game! Tough call! Florida vs FIU? Are you kidding me? Heres to an ugly game and an injury! Who else? ND vs UCONN (Do it doggie style!) |
| ArchiducCharles | 20 Nov 2009 9:30 a.m. PST |
Smokey, for the 2nd time, Cincy vs Pitt isn't until december 5th! Spartans are playing Penn State. I don't think we'll win, but it would help salvage a bad season. Oregon vs Arizona is huge for the Pac 10. Ohio State vs Michigan is always an important game. And while the rest of the country plays real teams, Florida gets FIU and Bama gets Chatanooga. It's a good thing the SEC plays such a hard schedule

And according to the BCS, Florida will be in the championship game, all they have to do is lose to FSU! UF always needing to lose to get a NC. I don't get that? Figures. |
| ArchiducCharles | 20 Nov 2009 9:54 a.m. PST |
Of course, nowadays the SEC champion is guaranteed a berth in the NC. Even if you lose 2 games (LSU 2 years back), doesn't matter. |
| Smokey Roan | 20 Nov 2009 10:05 a.m. PST |
Yep, the Razorback Rule (Pigs embarrass LSU last game of season, so BCS ignores the result) |

How can anyone get excited about College Football when the final decision of who is National Champion will be determined by the ridiculous system of the BCS and the failure of all College football to agree on a legitimate "playoff " format |
| ArchiducCharles | 20 Nov 2009 11:06 a.m. PST |
Because there's a lot more than just the NC, MapleLeaf. Bowls, Conference championship, rivalry games, huge upsets. Even with a playoffs, the chances my team (Michigan State) would be in it, let alone win it, would still be very slim. So one must learn to enjoy the 'small' victories (like beating UM two years in a row). Not that I disagree with you that the BCS is crap and that we need a playoff. |

A game of no importance, but I'll be interested to see if Air Force can knock off BYU. For some inexplicable reason BYU is ranked #22 right now. Granted they are 8-2, but those eight teams they beat (including a vastly overrated Oklahoma) have a combined 14 wins. Colorado St and New Mexico are winless, and they barely escaped New Mexico. Indeed, the only team they beat who has a winning record is Oklahoma, and their two losses (FSU and TCU) were both beat downs. The only credit I can give to BYU is that most of the team is made up of old married guys. Other than that, having them in the Top 25 is insulting to about a dozen other far superior teams. |

There are a couple of interesting story lines out there: The Pac-10 could end in a 6 way tie. link and its BCS or bust for 5-6 Kansas State. If they beat Nebraska they on Saturday, K-State will improve to 6-6, win the Big XII North and play Texas for the Big XII title. If by some miracle they win that one they get the Big XII's BCS automatic berth. If they lose that one they won't even be bowl eligible because despite holding a 6-7 record which would ostensibly make the Wildcats bowl-eligible, with 2 of those wins coming against Div I-AA opposition, they are out. Sorry K-State
No soup for you! |

K State and Kansas are two of the biggest bull programs in the country. NU should beat them and remove all doubt, but I see a KSU win. |

I'm locked in front of the Ohio State-m*ch*g*n game at high noon tomorrow. Regrettably, I think it'll be a tough game for OSU, since DickRod's boys are backed into a corner. If OSU pulls through, I'll definitely tune in to watch Charlie and Notre Dame blow the rest of their season. If OSU doesn't, I'll be looking for a low tree branch. If Kansas State wins that game, can you imagine a worse team finding itself in the Big 12 title game? Yikes. |

Nah, Nebraska's D is for real, they'll suffocate KSU. I'm going with a Nebraska victory, in a low scoring ugly game. |

Such as? In no particular order North Carolina, Temple, Ole Miss, Navy, Boston College, Nebraska, Rutgers, Central Michigan, East Carolina, Northwestern
okay ten. |

Clemson-Virginia just to see if Clemson can give away the ACC-Atlantic yet another year. South Carolina with the moral victory as they FINALLY have a bye week

RR is done at Michigan. Good, as he is better than the bum they will hire. See what a losing mentality gets you? Loyd Carr was there three seasons too long, and they will never recover. |

The Rose Bowl race is down to two in the PAC 10. We can say with certainty the team that goes will be from Oregon. Which one? mjc |
| Smokey Roan | 22 Nov 2009 8:20 a.m. PST |
Don't know, Quid, but at least it sets up a game for us to watch! :) Nice to see it decided on the field, and not by some committe using algebra. eh? |

Some hellaciously exciting finishes yesterday, eh? And I got to see 'em all! Cal-Stanford goes down to the wire. UConn-ND goes into double OT. Oregon-Arizona does likewise. Best part was the AZ students getting ready to rush the field, then the Ducks tie it up at the end of regulation. Then win. LSU-Ole Miss. Just awesome. After converting on 4th & 26 (!) and winding up in easy, winning field goal range, with ONE SECOND LEFT, LSU's QB decides he has time to spike the ball
Kentucky-Georgia. Final three minutes, Georgia has 3rd & Goal on the Kentucky 1, with a chance to tie the game. And they fumble, with Kentucky recovering. As God is my witness, two snaps earlier Bob Davie said "No penalties, no turnovers
". Kentucky can't burn the clock and they punt out of their end zone, setting Georgia up at mid-field with 1:52 and a TO left. Georgia responds by immediately throwing an INT. |

Acyually, Les Miles was thye bumbling fool regarding the hilarious LSU three stooges episode! Go Nutt! I watched those late games. Much fun. The Canes game was early |

Isn't Les the one who called a time out after an interception? Even Snoop Dogg thinks its funny
