Finally able to talk sports, after we get jobbed by the refs last week. Oh well, I hope we lose to Duke Saturday too, as its "WTACCOGTFOH" for me! Gonzaga has some athletes, but undisciplined as all He3ll, no box outs or help defense. Good game, though. |

Told you. Zags are very athletic and have a very long way to go to reach their full potential. Freshman mistakes will abound for some time. But with this group -- 50% of their full potential probably puts them in the top 20. Zags have some real beasts. You didn't get to see some of the guys on the bench in the MSU game. Two or three of them (Arop, Villarino, and Poling) could well be starting or playing big minutes by the end of the year. I dunno what's going on with Poling (didn't play at all in the MSU game). He's had health problems in the past (metabolic stuff). He might be the most skilled of our big guys (6'11" -- 225) in close to the basket. Zags play Duke around Christmas IIRC. Should be an interesting game. mjc |

So, you gonna go to any games? They have a good crowd, as I recall. |

Oh, I thought this was a thread about the new UFL. ;-0 I do like how they don't edit out all the hardcore cursing the players do on the field. Nothing else much to say. Oh wait, I thought this was a thread about the new UFL

The only Zags games you can get tickets to are either out of town or in the Spokane Arena (1 game IIRC). They are literally sold out for like 5 years and there is a waiting list after that. Home games are raucous affairs. You pretty much have to stand the entire game. Cannot hear yourself think -- always very very loud. I used to have season tickets @ $800 USD a seat but decided I could use that $3,200 USD better when the kids went to college. The Spokane Arena tickets are not easy to get and are nose bleed affairs. You can generally get tickets to the games played at Key Arena in Seattle but often at premium ($100+ a seat) prices -- and really aren't great seats either. My daughter thinks she can get some tickets to the Portland game in Portland -- so we shall see. mjc |

Yeah, that was like the Razorbacks back in the early 90's. No student seating (or tickets) and Barn Hill was still a wild place to play. I volunteered as an assistant my first year in Law School, just to get two season tickets. (THAT was how to score with the weemen of Arkansas! Only big spenders took dates to games! :) ) AqND lol! THAT Y'ALL STILL GET THE "fLIM fLARN" EDIT OF CURSE WORDS JOKE!
Eddie Murphy doing Bill Cosby in the early 80's! :) |

The Zags reserve about 1200 seats for the students. First Come first served. They literally camp outside in the snow to get these. YouTube link YouTube link YouTube link Always liked this one: YouTube link It isn't just the University -- it's the whole town. mjc |

Well the Zags rolled and Poling looked terrible. How can anyone miss eight free throws in a row? mjc |
