So has anybody tried this yet?
I just got it and gave it a go last night…. Here's what I found.

The new weapons are cool. (MP5 and AK-47) Its gunna take me a while to get the hang of them… I love the incendiary rounds, and the grenade launcher. And the fact that the old weapons are there too makes me feel good that there are some good ole 'friends'.

Really dislike the fact if you have a gun with low ammo and see another one of the same type, you cannot grab it to reload the gun you have, like in L4D1.

I am not sure about the new hand to hand tactics yet… Kinda neat, but they seem too powerful. How can swinging a guitar kill off 8 Zeds that were on me with one swing? REALLY??? But it does make a cool "twang" sound when you hit with it! The other HTH weapons are axe, crowbar, baseball bat, frying pan, katana and chainsaw.

Love the new handgun – The Magnum! Good back up weapon…

I do like the idea that you can either have pistols or a HTH weapon. It really makes you have some hard choices of what to grab…

The new Amusement Park maps are FRUSTRATING!!!!! Cant see, what what the heck is the deal with that roller coaster and the Tunnel of Love? Gotta hike the whole thing? Kinda lame.

Clowns are bad. Really bad. Fun, but bad.

I like the new Chargers (tanks), but they guys who 'piggy back' on people are hard to target. Also the Spitters who spew acid on the floor are a neat idea, but the acid is too powerful, but on the other hand the pools don't last long. It really stinks if you are in the middle of one. But if they spit in a contested area, only the survivors get damage. It does nothing to the Zeds, so you can get 'bottled up' really fast.

Horde waves seem to come in more frequently than before. It give the game a lot of action, but the ammo dumps are few and far between…

The new 'adrenaline' shot is cool, but too short (it makes you be able to do stuff faster). It gives a nice option to get instead of grabbin' pills.

And is it me, or does the Zeds move REALLY REALLY fast now. And it takes several shots to bring them down, unlike L4D1.

Also it seems like they really upped the difficulty level.

They did kick up the graphics a bit. It really looks real pretty now!

Overall, it may be a great game, but its gunna take me a while to get the hang of it.

BTW…. I am playing as Tubbs on Steam. Just give a shout out – but please tell me yer TMP call name so I know who I am playing with…

I played the demo on the 360 and really liked it. But the "wow" factor for me was the idea of the boomber juice grenades. I really like that a lot. It does seem faster what I played and I really like the new zombie types I saw. They seem a bit smarter this go around too.

If I wasn't going thru the first game still right now(bought it before I deployed and just now getting to play it) I would be making the jump to it.

I agree with all your points except difficulty. I feel I have to play at advanced to even start having fun

"How can swinging a guitar kill off 8 Zeds that were on me with one swing? "

Power chords.

"guys who 'piggy back' on people"

Jockeys.

Haven't sprung for either yet as I seem to be blessed with the "first person shooter motion sickness" phenomena. Anyone else have this same problem and try the game?

What's more, i'll probably never play other than solo. If my Mechlazine controls the "sea sickness" is it worthwhile as a single person game?

Thanks!

JJ

Terrement – I've only ever got that motion sickness with Half Life 2, so have never played it properly since I got it. Bizarrely I'm fine with L4D (1) and Modern Warfare 2. It depends it seems on the graphics engine used. I had a mate be violently ill after an evening of Quake 3, yet was fine with the Unreal engine. It's horrible when you get it.
