Is anyone watching the History Channel's "WWII in HD"? The first person narrative is interesting, you begin to develope an attachment to the individuals being portrayed and it does advance the story. The color photography is very interesting especially since these are some never seen before films, I have seen some repetition of scenes but that can be expected with a 10 hour show. Overall it is above average, content and production values, for a History Channel series, true history.

Are you recording if for me Terry?

T -3 and counting, not to late to back out:o).

What will we be playing? Any 15mm WWII perchance? The son of a friend would like to see that.

Terry, I agree. I have enjoyed it so far. A few minor quibbles, but better than average Hitler channel fare.

It seem to be done in the Ken Burns style. I'm not sure if he had a part in it. As others have said, better than most of their stuff.

I've enjoyed watching it too.

It does seem to be done in the Ken Burns style.

You do get caught up in the personal stories they give you.
Because of this show, I now plan to get the book by Bert Stiles, about his being a part of a B-17 crew.

A truly great series. I felt a connection with all the persons involved and felt sadness when some of them did not survive the war. The Marine combat footage in particular was both horrifying and inspiring.
