Why do they always try to deliver a package while you're down at the post office picking up a package?

So last week I get a "final notice" for a present I'd ordered for my wife. Final notice? I never got the first one!

While I'm at the post office, the postman tries to deliver a new package from Old Guard Painters. So the next morning, I go down to the post office when it opens…

…while a courier service comes by and tries to deliver a package from Fernando Painters. Oh well, the note says they'll try again tomorrow…

Have you noticed any "innocuous" cleaning vans in the area? They're really surveillance details, watching to see when you leave. Then a guy runs out, leaves the little note, and then waits for your reaction when you return. They film the whole thing for their annual "Postal Pranks" video at the year end Christmas party.

I imagined that I heard this from a guy who heard it from a guy who says he thought he overheard a guy say he was told the whole story over a bad cell phone call from his first cousin-twice-removed's best friend's second ex-girlfriend's mother-in-law's nephew. So it must be true.

And know *I* have read it on the Internet, so it is definitely true!

It's the same organization/force/fate that causes the phone to ring whenever we go to the bathroom. I'm sure it's a conspiracy and that they are watching us.

We have conveniently placed phones in every bathroom, but I really try not using them. Just want to let folks know in case they want to call me some day. grin

BTW as a follow up to a conspiracy thread I started months ago, the garbage men still hate us and our abused trash can. I really need to post of photo of it on my blog. It would break your heart.

I'm gutted – just searched Youtube and I can't find the Smith & Jones "British Gas Stakeout" sketch anywhere….

Ah, memories. That and the old Not the Nine O'Clock News "That's Life" spoof… :-)
