Was it my imagination or did yesterday's episode contradict the Dr Who adventure City of Death ? I think so – the proximity of the 4 lisa's commissioned by the Doctor would surely have the same effect as the proximity of the 1 lisa and "the abomination" in the SJ Adventure. Sorry. Being nerdy. |

PLOT SPOILER PLOT SPOLER Premise of the SJ episode – an alien life form has contaminated Leonardo da Vinci's paints – and his next door neighbour's The effect is to absorb energy to the point that when the 2 paintings by the two artists are brought back into close proximity the painted figures can come to life. But, in City of Death, an alien lifeform split across multiple time zones by a freak accident got Leonardo to paint 4 identical mona lisa's. Three of which were then sealed up in a vault to be used by a later "splinter in time " of the original alien to fund the required experiments in time travel to allow him to go back and stop himself being split across multiple time zones. The fourth incarnation of The Doctor travelled back and persuaded Leonardo to use canvases on which he wrote "this is a fake" in felt tip pen under the Mona lisa paintings. The point being that since the 4 paintings were identical (same batch of paints) then the same effect should have been caused in the vault they were locked up in (in fact, since 3 paintings were locked up togethe it should have happened sooner) Like I said
