Having it announced as "Scariest one ever" I think robbed it a little of shick value, but yeah, fun. Loed the Doc finnally claiming the Ring for his own. Still think Adelaide should have shot that snotty Doc rather than himself |

I believe that should be "The Waters of Mars". Water on Mars is a NASA thing. |

Loved the little touches – "Bowie staion 1". This is what would happen if the Dr. really went bad. |

the monsters realy didnt work for me, especialy after they managed to splash round several dozen gallons, my mind promptly went "HEY YOU conservation of mass anyone??" the touches did relay help, the name, the station icon on all the gear, and the drs space suit being the one from the earlyer episode with the base bove the black hole. |

I thought it was pretty weak up until the last 10 minutes or so, when things started to get interesting. I liked the attempt to show a shift in the Doctor's persona, but despite a 50-minute buld-up I still felt it seemed quite rushed for such a fundmental change. As for the next special – this stuff about the end of time itself, I'm wondering if this is a setup for another reboot so that Moffat/Smith start with a clean slate, as opposed to an Earth jaded with constant alien contact. |

My wife and I both enjoyed it a lot. Yes, I also commented about the amount of water (and a few times I thought the man was relieving himself with his back to us like that), but all in all, it was good and properly scary. Nowhere near as scary as "Blink," mind you, but still good. Parmenion: I hope you don't think I'm being a spoiler, but it is very well known that David Tennant does leave at the end of this year. So, yes, all of this is a build up for a "clean slate," and David even said exactly that in one of his interviews. I'll be very sorry to see David go. He really has been fantastic in this role. |
