Wow, there are those who would call that a fumble (like the refs on the field)!!! I guess the SEC is not the only league where officials are made aware of the importance of undefeated teams remaining undefeated? |

Undefeated teams always get a little extra help. They would not get that help if they had two losses. |

Where the heck did you get that apostrophe, Smokey? Didn't you get the Memo? Now, fix that title and write it 500 times. Then, go to your room and think about what you have done. Come on, come on! You want to watch football tomorrow, don't you? |

OK, I'm from West Virginia and I thought it looked like the ball broke the plane. Go figure. |

It diod break the plane, but was not in posession, from what I saw. That Pitt Cincy game next week is huge. |

It's in 2 weeks Smokey, next week Cincy plays vs Illinois. But yeah, that game will be huge! |

He stretched it out with control, it wasn't until aftr he started to pull it back that he lost it. There was one angle that showed that more clearly than the others. In the other angles, it looks like he is losing control when he is really just initially pulling the ball back. That's the way I saw it and fortunately for UC, the way the refs saw it too. UC's defense has not looked good the last 2 games. I don't see them running the table. |

Dunno, I think they can beat Pitt. And I definitely think they can beat Illinois. Doesn't matter though; the pollsters had decided before the season even began they wanted the SEC champion vs Texas in the NC. No mater what happens, they'll find a way to make it happen, leaving UC and TCU and Boise in the dust
IMHO,TCU is playing as good as anyone in the country right now. ing BCS! |

Sorry to say I don't think they will beat Pitt. I hate the BCS. I don't know of any college football fans that don't hate it. It really bugs me that this system can continue to exist. Does anyone really care about the other BCS bowl games? |
John the OFM | 15 Nov 2009 3:51 p.m. PST |
With the BCS, why bother to play the games to determine a National Champion? If you can go through the mental gymnastics that take "quality losses" and "style points" into account, why not just go with the pre-season polls to determine who plays in The Game? A playoff is the only way to go. I would rather hear the arguments about why Pennsyltucky Tech "does not belong" in an 8 or 16 game playoff than hear why Franklin State University's losses were "quality loses". |

Actually, I love Bowls, and I often enjoy tremendously the match-ups you get in the BCS (or lower) bowls. But as any College football fan, I cannot accept that we are choosing our champions the same way figure skating choose theirs. BCS = Beauty Contest Series |

Yeah I like the bowls. I think the BCS has reduced all the non BCS bowls to an even more of an also ran status. |
