I understood the brutality
I understood the satire
I understood the farce
I understood the parody
I understood man's inhumanity to man
I understood the Nazi's weren't fools, as sometimes depicted.
I understood the desire to change history

I didn't understand how the various parts interacted with any other part.

Yup. That sounds like Tarantino!

I still want to see that movie though. As nutty as some of Tarantino's work is, he generally comes through with a good movie in the end. It just might take several viewings to actually understand all of what happened. LOL!

Only one of my local friends saw it, and he liked it. The trailer did not look good to me, so I dodged it. But based on his recommendation I will probably pick up a cheap ex-rental eventually (which is how I watch most new films these days).

Yeah, Jack. You nailed it.
I still liked it, though, but not enough to pay for it again.

Oddly enough, I was going to pass on it until I saw the trailer. They never did explain the scar.

Ditto, John. Once was enough.

They never did explain the scar.

It's a plot device, a McGuffin. Like "rosebud".

I still think the film is a commendable failure.

Interesting, and as historically accurate as The Dirty Dozen. Not may favorite Tarantino. Those would be Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill (esp vol. 1)

Inglorious is the right word for this movie. It sucks big time.

It would have been more entertaining to watch 5 paint ballers run around a forest for 2 hours.

Complete and utter rubbish.
