I was watching the World At War episode about the rise of Japan in the Second World War, and for some reason, all 4 Navy veterans being interviewed had the same white shirt with green paisely pattern. Was this some sort of uniform, or was that pattern just popular in 1974? |

Haven't seen the interview – but you say they were veterans? Maybe the shirts came from their veterans group? Oh, and paisly was popular in the 70's |

C'mon. This is easy. Veteran group takes a trip to Hawaii to visit Pearl Harbor. They decide beforehand to all wear the same shirts. I've seen these interviews all the time. They wear Hawaiin shirts because they are IN Hawaii. And they all had their "WWII Pearl Harbor Veteran" baseball cap on too right? Nothing to do with unforms. No different than families all getting the same t-shirt to wear when they go to Disney World. |

I would describe that as unfair trade practice. Think of the local commerce. |

And they all had their "WWII Pearl Harbor Veteran" baseball cap on too right? Well, it was some sort of military-looking hat. Not a cap, not a beret. One of those ones that looks sort of like it's folded from a napkin. |

some sort of military-looking hat. Not a cap, not a beret Probably their Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) caps. Again, didn't see the clip. |

Tin Dictator- I see the problem the Yanks had at Pearl Harbour. The Japanese all had rufty tufty warriors, and you had her. Mind you, I wouldn't mind bombing her 'Pearl Harbour'. |
