Johnny Damon, dammit.

When did the Phiwwies start playing Little League?

I don't know

:) That's one of the problems with an extreme shift. Weak pickoff attempt to 2nd gives away 3rd for free. Would have to bring up the left fielder, but he'd have to play very short and start running like mad at the first sign of a steal.

Got to give Johnny credit for immediately seeing and acting on the play. A second hesitation looses it.

Lidge should have been covering third in this situation but he didn't.

I read that Damon has actually been thinking about this situation for awhile just chose a very big time to do it.

"but he didn't."

He couldn't. The pickoff throw to 2nd was so low it would've hit him in the chest if he didn't duck.
