I wanted a copy of a book from Osprey; FFL 1914-1945 and a copy of Spanish Foreign Legion. The FFL was priced at 9.99 (UK) but was on special at 6.99 (UK), however it was out of stock so I asked them to email me when it was back in stock. I thought I'd wait and order them together and save on postage. Nearly 2 weeks later and still no email so I have a look at the site. The FFL book I want is still out of stock, the price is still 9.99 (UK) but now on special at 7.49 (UK)i.e. gone up 50 p. So a book I can't get is now on special at a higher price than 2 weeks ago when I couldn't get it even though no-one can buy it? Am I missing something here? or is it due to be "restocked" so chuck the special price up. Its only a 50p increase I know, but it seems less than customer friendly.. Jon. |

Could you have pre-ordered it at the 6.99 price so that when it did come in you'd have gotten the deal? |

The general public expressed interest in the book (you) so that means an increase in worth, so it justified a price increase
. And that's how a market economy works. A item is only on sale when no one wants it. |
