There's apparently a foody show on the BBC called "The Supersizers."

Here, they're going for a week on an Elizabethan diet.

There are other shows featuring Regency, Roman and other periods.

Very interesting, though I think there is a flaw in their Health Assesment

I meant assesing after only a week. I think it would take more than that to get their bodies to adjust (heck even for the lack of caffine)

That's the first series, which was a spin-off from a one-off. The second series was shown here earlier in the year.

It's an interesting show. Despite the food rather than because of it occasionally.

my kids ADORE the couple. Giles Coren is amusing, but eats like he was never taught how. As a Food Critic, I wonder if restaurant owners are scared to approach him and ask him to eat with his mouth shut. She is sweet in an annoying sort of way.

It gets my kids interested in History. I am therefore in favour.

I'm with your kids Sir Digby.

For a somewhat effete chubster and a lippy lesbian I think they have a great rapport. The pair of them always seem to be having a blast on the show.

Here's a link that works. I hope

Not sure what her sexuality has to do with anything.

It's what we TV critics call an 'inconsequential aside for alliterative effect'
