link I think all Refs should be put under the NCAA. The SEC have their favorites, Alabama, Florida and LSU. It is a shame that they keep blowing calls. |

Blowing or throwing? After all, what could be better for the SEC than to have two undefeated teams (Fla-Ala.) meeting in the title game? It's nice to see that official was suspended for the bad call in the Florida-Arkansas game. That doesn't change the fact that he handed the game to Florida. |

I agree the NCAA should be in charge of the officials. I remember a few years back that Wisconsin was willing to forfeit a game with Hawaii (in Hawaii) because Wisconsin thought the WAC officials were too biased for Hawaii and wanted referees from a different conference. Hawaii reluctantly agreed on bringing in PAC10 officials. |

Cummon, This is like saying NFL refs augment their pay from contributions from Steeler fans. When's the last time you saw the Steelers get a bad call? The issue with officials is time and money. They get paid a lot but . . . not that much. I used to officiate and have conversed with many upper level officials. If you fly from Spokane to California for a game, the pay never offsets the time you spent flying to and from. Like it or not, officials will always be regional. mjc |

The fastest way to get banned from reffing in a conference would be to make a call that would cost said conference BCS money. |

Yep, Cfuz. Florida got their annual mulligan. |

Pac-10 refs ain't much better. I'm still trying to decipher when and where they will call Pass Interference, Unsportsmanlike Conduct for late hits or Roughing the Passer. At least 5 times a game I'm left shaking my head by phantom calls for 15 yards while blatant head hunting goes unnoticed. It reminds me of when Michael Jordan was still playing for the Chicago Bulls. He could back over someone with his car and not get called for a foul. |

"Florida got their annual mulligan." This is recent. Under Spurrier, used to be we were the ones getting screwed on the calls
..all I can say is turnabout is fair play. Ya'll need bigger wallets. :) |

We need more coaches/fans/player violence toward obvious cheating refs. Only waytosolve the problem is to pummel one of them right on national TV. Seriously! Never forget the guy that knocked out a B12 (back then SWC) ref in the Orange Bowl with an incredible grapefruit throw from the back row upper deck to the field and Ref's head. LOL! Maybe 100 yard throw and bullseye!
(which is why my basketball coaching career ended. Fines were more than salary! :(
