I see no need to tap the fuse holes.
However, at least you, unlike the dude in Dom's link, feel the actuall need to HAVE a fuse, instead of just holding a match to the hole.

Apparently, I have taken my obtuse pill today. Because I do not have a clue. Well anyway, if they form a pro circuit, I have some ideas for names. There would be a heated rivalry between the Roadrunners and the Wile E. Coyotes.
