I got a bad feeling about Clemson. :( And going to these games is getting damn expensive. I figured I've dropped @ $500 USD each on the GT, OU, A&M and UCF games already. :( This "I gotta get my hair, nails and toes done" every game by my GF and daughter is KILLING me! :( I'm hoping for MSU (both of them) and BC upsets, as well as BYU over TCU. |

You need to be hoping for a UVa upset over GT. I am. I don't care how it affects our BCS standing, I'm just hoping we limp into the ACC title game at this point. |

I am sick of taking crap from Michigan, and it's about time to smite them at their house. Since our pathetic non conference schedule does not lend itself to credibility, we may as well just settle old scores. |

Will Tech hang 100 on A&M? Magic 8-ball says possibly. |
| Smokey Roan | 23 Oct 2009 7:53 a.m. PST |
Uh, no, enfant, GT has to win that game. (Miami is out of the BCS if UVA upsets GT). Michigan PSU is Saturday? I forgot. That's a big game. |

Michigan State is hosting Iowa in a night game in East Lansing. Its important for the Big Ten, not so sure about National implications as the Big 10 is pretty weak. |

Yep Peru, hence my "hope both MSUs win" post. Go Spartans! |
| Streitax | 23 Oct 2009 8:47 a.m. PST |
Go Spartans and Go Penn State! I will second those remarks for Archiduke Charles, as he is on his way here for the game tomorrow night. |

Archiduke and his buddy are going, I merely provided a nights lodging to diminish the cost of the trip. I have yielded to old age, bad knees, weak back and tired bladder and no longer sit in stadiums. Now if someone were to care to offer me a seat in on of those fancy suites

I will be at the MSU Iowa game. We have season tickets and I love when we get the opportunity to play a night game. Will also be tailgating most of the day Saturday. Brian I did miss that one at the beginning Smokey |

Do you all relise how easy Boise State could be in the National Championship game? Really. Florida has not looked all that great, winning by three to six points. Could drop one. Also every year since 2000 Florida has lost one game to a Western SEC school. They play one this week that if it wasn't for three fumbles they would be 6 and 1 on the year. Alabama offense is not the best only putting 20 points or so on the board and Texas has to go to Ok State. Alabama and Florida will be in the SEC championship game and one of them will lose. If the other should drop a regular season game they both could be out. Then there is TExas who has to go to OK State and play in the Big 12 Championship. I think they have a greater chance of losing to OK State then one of those norhern big 12 teams. I am a SEC guy and always want them to shine but this BCS thing is not working and I think the sooner a non BCS team wins it,or plays in it, they will come up with a better way. |

OSU and a&m are the only two real challenges TEXAS faces at this time. Both because they're road games and both teams whole season will be made if they knock off the Longhorns. The big question is how many quarters of football with the Longhorns play on any given Saturday? So far they're undeafeated without playing more than 1 or 2 quarters in a game. Heaven help the poor team when the Longhorns decide to play in all four quarters. |

Okla-Kansas should be a real good game. OU has no offense and KU has no defense. They are playing at KU. OU is not good on the road and the fighting Manginos are hungry! Penn St must beat Michigan to have an iota of respectability. Pennsylvania used to be the cradle of QB's and they went to Ohio to get this guy or is that Ohio St went to Penn? Whatever, they both s.. are not good! Hope Mizzou beats the Horns! Hoping Iowa goes undefeated. I will be rooting for the Canes because of Smokey. Gawd, I am getting old and soft! Hope Angels beat the Yank-mees. |

Just awful. Ruined the entire season, because Pannunzio (our STs coach) decides to kick to Spiller with 50 seconds in the half, andf no TOs. He needs to go, and Whipple better not have another game like he did Saturday. Playcalling cost us the game. Period. |

Great game that was, but what an heartbreaker!! To lose on the last play of the game. The atmosphere at Spartan Stadium was unreal though. When State scored with 1:30 left, the earth trembled! And what a garbage call that unnecessary roughness. That was a clean hit. And thanks to Streitax for his hospitality, he's a great guy! |

That sounds like fun! Didn't MSU win? Anyone want to host Smokey for the Canes at Ohio Sate game next year? (I'll buy the tickets). CatFrog has graciously invited me to a USC-ND game, and if there is not a Canes home game that day, I will go!!! |
| cfuzwuz | 28 Oct 2009 11:44 p.m. PST |
Archiduc- I read a short article by Rocky Blier about the 1966 ND- MSU game. He said the atmosphere at Spartan Stadium before the game was the most incredible he ever experienced in football. He said the stadium and ground were movimg with the sound! One of my early football memories was the UCLA def back getting knocked out making the game winning tackle against MSU in the 1966 Rose Bowl.(After the 1965 season). |
