I've become interested in reading this series. I read on the Wiki that the books were not published in a story line chronological order. I'm wondering if it's better to read the books in the order they were published or if I should start at the earliest in the storyline and go from there. Should I at least start with the first book (Redwall) to get all the starting info? |

As an avid reader myself, I can tell you that it's pretty much impossible to read them in chronological order. Read them in the order of publishing. Go with Redwall to start with. |

Thank you. That's exactly the feedback I was looking for. I knew there would be someone around here who had read them and would have an opinion. |

Yeah, I would just go in the order they were written. Most of them do not build on the previous so it would not be a big deal to read some out of order if one cover or plot line really caught your attention, however. |
