IFC (the Indpendant Film Channel) started showing a new 6 hour documentary on Monty Python. & it seems like one of the creator's of the documentary is Terry Jone's son.

Last night's episode was about how the Python's ended up meeting & coming together. It stopped just short of the actual start of the Flying Circus. Very interesting stuff.

It's being shown every night this week, Mon-Fri, with the 1st episode being repeated this Saturday. & then IFC is showing one of Python's movies after each episode.

I guess that's the only way I'll see it as well. Our cable company doesn't offer IFC, dammit.

If it's the same program I'm thinking of, public television showed it last weekend during one of their ubiquitous pledge drives. I'll be tuning in again for sure. Thanks, Black Cavalier, for the heads-up!

thumbs up

We'll have to pick it up once it is released on DVD.

In Australia they are showing it as a full length movie at the cinema.
