I say send him to the Dawghouse NOW (along with any other Yankee fans). We all know they are nothing but trouble. :)

Unless he meant Yankees go home and stay there after they lose again in the playoffs.

I'm stealing this quote but so what, it's a good one.

"Rooting for the Yankees is like rooting for the house in Blackjack."

That's a great quote.

My Daddy raised me to hate the Yankees. He succeeded.

Wouldn't mind seeing the yankees win. Or anyone else, no teams I hate still alive.

Rooting for the Yankees in my family is only slightly worse than rooting for Al Quaeda.

I'm the first to admit, I'm not a baseball fan. But one of this morning's newspaper headlines (I live outside Philadelphia) about the World Series starting tonight really has me asking, "Are they serious?" Basically it billed this World Series as a grudge match. delcotimes.com Really? The last time the Phillies and Yankees played was 59 years ago!! If you look at the baseball stadium, I bet 2/3's of the people there weren't even born yet, or not old enough to care that the Phillies got swept by the Yankees in 1950.

So, do baseball fans actually hold grudges longer than the Hatfield's and McCoy's or is the newspaper just making crap up?

Personally, I hope the Phillies lose, but that's mainly because I don't want to have to burn a vacation day to stay out of the city and avoid a 2-3 hour commute to work each way on public transportation when they have a parade again.
