Is anyone here familiar with the old 1930s comedy team Wheeler and Woolsey?

I first became familiar with them from a movie I saw on Turner Classic Movies about a year ago, entitled 'Cracked Nuts'. Despite it's old fashioned Vaudevillian presentation, complete with corny jokes and double-entendre lines, I found the movie and the team very entertaining, so much so that many times I laughed out loud. Bert Wheeler and Robert Woolsey made a total of 23 films and one short together from 1929 to 1937, the year Woolsey passed away from kidney disease. Wheeler continued to act occasionally until his death in 1968.

Thankfully, a majority of their movies are still around to enjoy, and thankfully TCM airs them. They made a fan out of me! grin

"Half-Shot At Sunrise" was one I saw on TV some years back.
