So way back when I only got to watch The Prisoner in B&W. Now I get to see it in fabulous color (or colour).

As I know nothing of these things, I was struck by the similarity of the multi-colored scarves, hats, capes, umbrellas, etc, and wondered if they had any connection to football team colours.

What I was wondering is if they were typical football team items, but in colors that were of non-existant teams.

As I recall they are more like university colours rather than football. The whole image of blazers, scarves and straw boaters was very Oxford/Cambridge but not specific to any particular college.
