ABC News and IGN consider my video game work of the last decade to be "The Citizen Kane of Gaming"

link

Very flattering, but Kind of Bizaare, too.

LOL

Okay, kudos to you, Only Warlock. You clearly helped make an impression.

OTOH, "the Citizen Kane of Gaming"? Uhm… that's laying it on a bit thick, no matter how good the game is.

Lord Hypnogogue06 Oct 2009 5:17 p.m. PST

Outstanding!!!

Only Warlock06 Oct 2009 6:17 p.m. PST

Parzival, I totally agree that it's laying it on a bit thick, there HAHAHA.

(All I need is an even bigger head!)

Truly the weirdest review of a game I have had in the last 16 years.

Congrats Man! Save it, it's a story for the Grandkids!

Congratulations! It's always nice to be appreciated.

I'm impressed that you worked on Metroid… but yeah… kind of a funny bit of hyperbole.
Deus Ex and Silent Hill 2 are my personal touchstones of video game artistry.

So, what is your Rosebud?

Only Warlock07 Oct 2009 6:56 a.m. PST

There has been some debate on that issue.

I personally think it's my little plastic magnetic chess set I learned on when I was 5.

The worrying part is this, what did Orson Wells do after Citizen Kane? <grin>

Only Warlock07 Oct 2009 9:04 a.m. PST

LOL, well on the bright side, then I'd be able to game more often.

The worrying part is this, what did Orson Wells do after Citizen Kane?

1942 The Magnificent Ambersons
1946 The Stranger
1947 The Lady from Shanghai
1948 Macbeth
1952 Othello
1955 Mr. Arkadin
1958 Touch of Evil
1962 The Trial

All of these being darn good movies… if a bit weakened by studio interference in the editing (Mr. Arkadin especially, but there's a mostly-restored version available now).

Drank too much and ate too much. Warlock, you might want to get bigger clothes. ;-)
