In doing some extensive personal research on the Stanley Kubrick classic science fiction movie '2001: A Space Odyssey', I found the following webpage comparing that and the cult classic sci-fi flick 'Dark Star': link Enjoy! |

Never heard of it, but I do see the similarities, if not outright copying of Dark Star. The ending of Dark Star, and the opening of 2001 are rather uncanny, as are some of the other images you pointed out. |

I've never seen darkstar before, but I did own one of their helmets. It was a toy helemt that I received for X-mas when I was about 7-8 years old. |

It is worth seeing, irishserb. A very funny low-budget film. |

And CLEVER, too. Don't forget clever. Rocky showed me DS a couple of years ago and I concure it is very funny on the lowest of budgets

Man
it's been a week of forevers since I saw Dark Star. Doesn't Rogue Trader (original 40K) have stats for a critter pretty much like the beach ball alien in Dark Star? Edit: It's the 'Bouncers' on page 207 |

Well I always thought Dark Star to be the better film. I think the first where the ship looked lived in. x42 |
