Think LSU will try to hit Tebow Saturday? I mean hit, not arm tackle and avoid contact,( the typical SEC response to Tebow draws) I'd would go for his head before, during and after every play, if I was them. LSU is good at that (the after the play cheap shot, at least) Then again, think Meyer has sand bagged the severity of Tebow's concussion? I say he got a mild concussion, which means he's 100% by now. I don't wish permanent injury to him, of course, but wouldn't mind seeing him end up like Pepino Quevas when he fought Hearns. |

If Meyer sends Tebow for the usual 20-25 run per game against a punishing D like LSU, he's a real douche (but that we know already). Commotions are serious and you don't want him to end up with serious problems. I cannot stand Tebow, I really can't, but I hope Florida does the right thing here. |

"after the play cheap shot" I thought Florida was playing LSU this weekend, not miami? |

I'm not crazy about the Tebow hype but he seems to be a good kid. That hit to the back of the head by his own lineman's knee was brutal. I suffered a mild concussion during a game when a 140 lb QB fell on my head. I saw stars and played the next 3 quarters in a detached state. It seemed like I was watching a movie. Tebow's hit was a lot harder than mine. He passed out and threw up. He might not play against LSU. I don't like the idea of trying to hurt anybody in sports. You have to decide if your a man or an animal. And animals act on instinct and know no better. I have nothing against hard hitting. I was taught froma young age that if a ball carrier is struggling and won't go down to punish him but spearing, piling on, and hurting someone was not sportsmanship. This seems to be a lesson that the NCAA and NFL are struggling to re-introduce to their players. |

I'm not a rabid Tebow fan and I certainly dislike the Gators but, given all we know about the effects of concussions and above all, repeated concussions, if Tebow is allowed to play and there is the slightest medical question as to whether he is fully recovered, Urban Meyer is slime. My youngest was knocked out and seriously concussed as a goalie in HS soccer and the neurologist would not let him play for 6 weeks. At a minimum the rule is, as I understand it, no risk what so ever until a full 10 days after the last headache. |

I heard Tebow was given permission to watch TV for the first time yesterday. He better not play against LSU. If he does, then it is not about the game
or the team
it is about him winning the Heisman and definately not about his long-term health. If he wants to walk a straight line on Sunday's let alone play football then, he needs to sit out a couple more weeks. He needs to figure out if his brain is worth a straight-arming piece of bronze. |

I think what happened to both Tebow and Bradford within 3 weeks will make collegiate "superstars" think twice about staying another year. This is unprecedented, that there are TWO Heisman winners currently playing. Well, would be playing if they weren't severely injured. I bet the next underclassman Heisman winner goes for the gold and doesn't stick around. |

They asked Bradford at the OU press conference today if he was 100% committed to coming back this year. He said no. He still might need surgery. They haven't decided. I heard on the radio that Tebow was still not able to read. When you can't read 10 days after the injury, that is serious.I think he will be out Saturday and maybe longer. |

"I think what happened to both Tebow and Bradford within 3 weeks will make collegiate "superstars" think twice about staying another year." I was listening to a radio program regarding the propensity of "big stars" to go down this year. In the program it was mentioned that Deion Sanders was known to 'strategically avoid' punishing tackles, even if he might gain a few more yards if he took the hit. He reportedly said he was making a "business decision" when avoiding such circumstances. |
