Crazy. A Tallahassee native QB, spurned by FSU, beats them in Tally(that's the danger of UM/FSU playing USF and UCF, bunch of kids ed that FSU, UM didn't recruit them so they have something to prove) Cal gets spanked, hurting the PAC 10 Unless LSU head hunts and pole axes Tebow next week, UF is a lock for the title (even a loss to Bama won't keep them out) Looks like LSU, Bama, Texas control their destiny, with OU, USC, OSU and even PSU in position if they win out. Maybe Boise State will be the BCS buster? Texas and UF's schedules should be real issues and spurn some changes this year! |

As of today, Bama looks like the best team in the country. I think they will beat Florida in the SEC conference game, provided they don't stumble along the way. Florida? Not impressed, it's a one-man team. Meyer is going to find the SEC a lot tougher next year without his superman, methink. LSU doesn't look good at all; they were very lucky to win last week, didn't look impressive vs Washington neither. Soon, they'll get exposed. My sleeper; Cincinnati. They're really looking good, Kelly is an amazing coach, and looking at their schedule I think they could turn the table. As for Boise State, let's wait; if either TCU or Houston manages to win out, they seem more deserving of going to the BCS IMHO. Boise scchedule is loaded with cupcakes. There doesn't seem to be any dominant team this year, that's the weird thing. As for me, well the Spartans will try to salvage what pride they have left this week vs Michigan (a game I won't be able to listen to. Thanks a lot ing Big Ten network!) I still hope
Go State! btw, I've read Texas has started to schedule real teams for the upcoming years. Florida? I would be very surprised

Houston lost to UCF Saturday. Even if Bama beats UF, a one loss UF gets in, I'd bet. USC has to ROLL through their remaining schedule. OU is right back in if they beat UM and Texas. Some teams will get screwed this year, badly, I think. |

?? Houston beat Texas Tech last saturday btw. - Some teams will get screwed this year, badly, I think.- This year??? Teams always get screwed in the BCS, every year. And forget it, if Bama is undefeated, I would bet my house Florida doesn't jump them. |

No, Smokey, Houston beat Texas Tech Saturday, sending Pirate Leach off the deep end about players using twitter and facebook. TCU and UH have little hope of being BCS busters. The polls rarely move one unbeaten team above another and Boise State started out higher than both of them. So unless Boise State loses
(and their schedule is full of cupcakes.) |

Any team that can win the SEC with an undefeated record is pretty much a lock to play in the National Championship. Right now, I think Alabama has as good a chance, if not better, than UF to be that SEC team. I'd be surprised if the other team isn't the winner of the Texas- Oklahoma game but not shocked if, believe it or not, somehow Ohio State sneaks in once again. |

McKinstry, Ohio State's November schedule is at Penn State, Iowa (home) and at Michigan. I don't think they are good enough to win all 3 of those. Of course, its over a month away and anything could happen, but they're too young I think. |

OU shouldn't be thinking about Texas or the BCS right now. ;) Houston beat TT? Wait, who did UCF upset? And who did Clemson play, did they win? What about GT? They win? |
enfant perdus | 01 Oct 2009 7:24 p.m. PST |
UCF didn't upset anyone. They lost to East Carolina. As you know, USF upset the Criminoles. Clemson lost to TCU and GT pounded the hell out of UNC. By the way Smokey, when you feel a disturbance in the Force on Saturday evening, that'll be me cheering for Miami |

Yeah, I gotta cheer for miami Saturday nite also. BTW, Texas had Arkansas on their schedule this year, until ARK begged out/delayed the series. We just put Cal on the schedule for 2015/2016. Who knows if they'll still be any good then, but

Yep, my now disowned Pigs did a Gators move and welched on a series, so Petrino can play a D-1aa patsy at home (since he can't win in the SEC) I'll give 2-1 right now that the Gators cancel the game at UM in 2011 (they do that all the time, play the home game, then cancel the return game) |

I know nothing of the GT win vs UNC. Score? How did Clemson lose to TCU? Oh, and I can see 6 or so teams with one loss with legitimate claims for the NC game.

GT won 24-7. They switched to a 4-3 defense and held UNC to only 17 rushing yds and 154 yds total, as well as forcing three turnovers. GT also dominated possession (42 min.) and ran the ball almost at will. TCU edged Clemson 14-10. I didn't see it, but apparently their defense was very much bend-not-break. Twice in the 4Q they stopped Clemson drives in the Red Zone. TCU were actually trailing until the last couple minutes when they had a long TD pass. And of course Clemson is the team that always fails to deliver. I think they call it Death Valley because so many Tigers have choked there. |

Thanks, enfant! ;) Clemson still has the Tommy Bowden stink. Will take two more years to rid themselves of that albatross. |
