A while back some of us were surprised that Battle for Terra was in and out of theaters while we weren't paying attention. It's now available on DVD. I saw it in the local Walmart for $14.96. Now's your chance to check it out. Or wait and gamble that it will be around long enough to hit the $5 USD bin.

I saw it at Target over the weekend. I was planning on buying it, but then I read the back.

You're not supposed to judge a DVD by its back, you know that….

Wait for it to hit the $1 USD bin.

I just watched this tonite. I found the characters engaging and with personalities. The animation, while not on par with Pixar and such well known names, is still well done. For what this is, I find it enjoyable and entertaining despite the few shortcomings. The story could have benefitted from being a tad longer and better set the story and a little less good guy/bad guy, though they did attempt to show that both sides had their flaws and virtues. If you get this expecting Pixar/Disney level story and animation you'll find it rough around the edges and not "up to par", but on it's own merits it is well worth watching.

I'll add it to my collection soon.
