I saw Pandorum yesterday and found it was surprisingly good. If you liked Alien and that Horror/Sci fi type story then you will like this. It is very dark, not too scary and most of the so called twists in the plot are easily figured out (except for one) I had a few minor things that I did not like but those would be spoilers so go see it for yourselves. On the gamer's side (not that I play) but it would be close to a Space Hulk type thing. **** 4 out of 5 stars |

Thanks, I'll definitely go see it. My style of movies, from your review. |

I found it disappointing. With the claustrophobic, trapped-in-a-spaceship atmosphere that's been done to death in countless other movies like 'Sunshine,' 'Supernova' and 'Event Horizon,' it shares more in common with 'Alien Resurrection' than with the original, much more suspenseful 'Alien.' To compare it to Ridley Scott's 'Alien' is like comparing 'Doomsday' to the original 'Mad Max.' Not even close. The feral cannibalistic monsters in 'Pandorum' are ripoffs of the underground creatures in 'Descent,' and the twist ending WARNING SPOILER AHEAD where it turned out the spaceship was underwater on the planet where they're colonizing was as lame as the one M. Night Shylaman wrote for 'The Village.' Skip this and watch 'Surrogates' instead. |

Now this was a good sci-fi flick. It was recommended to me by a friend and I just watched it on Netflix tonight. It remminded me a bit of a cross between Event Horizon and Aliens in its feel but was really not like either in the story line. It did make me want to start work on my Dark Eldar stuff again and really wish the wracks were coming out in plastic. |
