I can wait for the paperback. Hopefully it won't have the nonsense of anti-mater in a thermos bottle. Hopefully Langdon won't be knocked unconscious every 6 hours and then have to drive the streets of DC when he comes to. |

Not intersted. Read DaVinci Code and was not impressed.. |

I'm with Mr. Pumblechook. Not impressed by Mr. Brown's work. |

See no need to give Mr. Brown money to further his agenda. |

Can't stand his books so I'll be giving it a pass. |

Nope, shall pass (and wish I'd passed upon 'Code'
) |

I hadn't even heard of it. I didn't read any of his other books but did see the DaVinci code movie. It was okay, rather predictable and mostly a chase movie but it was a neat story. I don't really have time to read much fiction anyway. |

"He has an agenda?" It's called a beach house and summers in Europe. |

I think it called for Tom Hanks and bad hairdo's as well. |

Dan Brown is to good writing what Uwe Boll is to cinema. If Uwe Boll ever directs an adaptation of a video game based on a Dan Brown novel, just consider the seventh seal broken. Jason |

I was handed a copy of DVC, and it sits unread. |

No I have enough of a back log already without buying a poorly edited blockbuster I was listening to a review on the BBC and they picked up on the same character trait being repeated 3 times in a matter of pages – really hate that. I dragged myself through one of the Shannara books and every half chapter someone or other was described as having a good work ethic. Do I want my elves to have a good work ethic ? Should Sauron have attended a facilitators course ? Arghh. |
John the OFM | 18 Sep 2009 5:18 p.m. PST |
Well, someone is buying it. If this bunch is a representative sample, maybe not. I read DVC and Angels and Demons. Baigent, Lincoln and Leigh were ripped off. |

I suspect we are not a representative sample

No interest at all. Mr. Brown's writing irritates me. I've noticed a lot of 'news' shows covering the book's release
which is just thinly veiled advertising. |
| mweaver | 21 Sep 2009 4:40 a.m. PST |
To be honest, I haven't read anything he is written, so I can't sneer at his writing. I was turned off by all the hype before I read any of them. |

Mweaver, here is the basic plot. 1) The clock is ticking 2) Tom Hanks has to figure out why the third angel from the left is smiling and the fourth is squinting 3) It's all part of a conspiracy 4) It's all the Church's fault 5) Tom Hanks gets hit over the head every 8 hours 6) He has to then drive through a crowded city at rush hour to get to Clue #5 before Ron Howard blows up the obelisk |
