"True Blood - Season Finale (spoiler alert)" Topic

So, last night was the finale of second season of True Blood. I thought the last three episodes were totally lame. We were on vacation for a few weeks and watched the final three this last weekend. I thought the season was finally getting good just prior to it, but the whole Maryanne and crazy town thing was just a bit too over the top for me, although, I did like the way Maryanne got it in the end.

I bet the books were so much better.

The books were SOOO much better and while I loved last weeks episode, I thought the final one was a let down.

Though some of the Jason quotes are pricless. eg

I love the smell of nailpolish in the morning.

I totally agree. It seemed most of the creative work went into setting up Season 3 with Eric and the Vampire Queen scheming against Bill and Sookie. The rest was plot clean up.

Also now that Sookie seems to be non-human herself we have her, that hotel guy, the shape shifters, Menaiads and Vampires. Aren't there any normal trailer trash left?

But I love some of the Jason quotes too.

BTW is Bill Compton Barnabas Collins or what. After seeing him in that suit it cinched it for me!

I agree with some people here, I just didnt get into the whole Menaiad thing. I prefer the vampire intrigue, I hope they get back to that in season 3.

I'll be a lone voice of dissent and say that I liked the finale. It was a nice wrap-up and a good lead in to the intrigue involving the Vampire Queen next season.

It was a bit of a let down. However I'm looking forward to season 3 !!!!!!!!!
