All of a sudden,
it seems like all of the 'clips' people link to
are headed by a 10-60 second, full blown advertisement.
Annoying.

I get that somebody somewhere has to make money,
and that this is the most recent solution to the perennial Internet question:
"How do we earn, providing free content…?"
-BUT-

I'm simply not going to wait through an annoying,
full-blown two minute commercial
to watch some oddball video linkage
I 'd planned on spending less than 15 seconds perusing anyway-

People, Please, at the very least:
A warning, similair to "NSFW", perhaps something like
'Caution! Cruddy Commercial Proceeds Video' (CCCP-V)
I may still watch the furshlugginner thing, but Sheesh!

Gimme a Warning!!!

I like 'CPV' as a warning. Make it so!

They're not on Youtube. Yet.
But all the News sites have them.

YouTube is hanging ads over the videos, and increasingly putting a still or video ad somewhere else on the page, though. Its not quite what Volstagg is talking about, but is certainly rant worthy on its own.

Seemed like an inevitable thing…
Once it gets to a certain point I'll stop watching… just like I did with regular TV.
I've already pretty much stopped going to Hulu.

It doesn't bug me with Hulu. At least there you know what you going to get and when they are coming. It bugs me on other sites where the ads will play just fine but the content doesn't.
