This movie is set in the closing days of WWII. The protagonists are a pair of US GI deserters that meet up with a bunch of war-crazed (or perhaps war-crazy) kids. Some German soldiers show up with a tank and hijinks -- of the killing variety -- ensue. It is short on stuff happening at first, but long on film-school style throughout.

I saw this sometime ago, it is an unusual, but well made low budget movie.

The two GI's come across a bunch of orphans who are looked after by the fatherly figure of David Warner. The building they have taken refugee in has also been used by an SS officer too store a number of Art Relics. He turns up with a company of men and a tiger tank.

Although the scenario is hugely improbable and in some aspects laughable, but it is well made and well intentioned and certainly watchable, achieved for a miniscule amount of money.

James Le Gros is killed in the first few minutes so don't expect to see any names apart from Warner in the rest of the picture.
