So we are buying a new house. We've changed the kids' school and will be moving to make the drive easier… well, once moved there will be no drive, they can walk.

There is a 'but' though. The house needs some work and lots of TLC to get it up to scratch.

But look at that loft space!!

Sadly that will not be the Games Room as my wife wants our room up there along with en-suite, dressing room and guest room with en-suite.

The present kitchen will have some lopped of to make hallway and the rest will become an L-shaped kitchen diner knocking through the utility and bedroom 2. bedroom 3 becomes the utility. The new hall will accomodate the new front door (currently on the left of the house) and new stair up to the redesigned lost.

The garage will be expanded and become the games room.

Then we'll loog to sorting the garden and clearing the pond and making space for the kids to play.

A fairly big job and we'll have professionals in but I'm now contemplating resigning and PMing it myself as asway out of my current work. I'm even contemplating blogging the entire experience.

After that who know but it's likely to be a fun challenge.

Five bedrooms! Yowsa!

You realize, of course, that we now know where you live and we'll all be stopping by at odd hours to game or as a layover as we head up to Nottingham.

Might as well make it a B&B and host SteveCon grin

Lovely! Hopefully the refurbishment is not too big an adventure!

Five bedrooms minus the number of kids equals extra rooms for wargaming, it would seem.
