I actually don't have a problem with Elmo being used to help children understand how they can help stop the spread of the flu bug and other germs. They might be more likely to listen to the red puppet then their parents and if the program saves one child's life it was money well spent. Donald~ |

That is true, Donald. As a rule, I always wash my hands: before I get out of the bathroom, before I eat, before I cook – basically all the time. And since my job comes in contact with elementary school children, I especially make a point to wash up. Seems like the public service announcements of today are getting lost in an electronic sea of buy, sell, sex, and other distractions, but, like you said, as long as the kids have someone to look up to, why not use the resource. Much fuss for yet another flu. My younger son (4˝yo) was diagnosed with H1N1 about two months back, he got prescribed Tamiflu, got rid of the flu in bit over a week. Ex-wife the same. My older son (9yo) and myself had "just a flu" and got better in about week, with no medication. News media sells on scandals, shocking and terrible things. "Been there, done that and didn't even get a t-shirt from NHS"
