Strangely enough that DOES work…

Google, the helpdesks helpdesk!

I once failed an IT interview I didn't want the job for by answering every question with; "I can Google that and get the correct answer for you!" Sometimes on arriving for an interview you know just by looking around at the place that you don't want to work there.

Must admit I pretty much always manage to sort my own IT problems with the Google approach.

Yeah, but in the business you don't admit it…

I'm usually the other way round. Most of the time I can figure out what's going on but when I can't, when my problems too severe, I swear I hear Gene Kranz come on the line to tell me he's got the boys in the back room working the problem and they'll be bringing JPL up on the net to assist any minute now.

Very funny! I always forget about XKCD, but it's a great comic.

Thanks for posting the link!

A lot of my work requires me (and 60 colleagues) to research medical conditions, medications and treatment strategies. Every so often Google shuts us down as suspected spammers and I have to use Ask.com or msn search for the rest of the day.

Seriously my job would be immeasurable more difficult without it.
