My daughter was making some Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip cookies from a frozen cookie dough package that you can buy at the grocery store. I thought that the uncooked dough with the chips was most excellent as a snack.

Talk amongst yourselves now.

Obviously, from the post above, I have slipped from my "no eating sugar pledge" from the first of the year. I am resolved to go back to no sugar after the weekend blast out.

It doesn't have to be frozen. I make my own where the wife DEMANDS at least 3 cookies worth before I start baking them. Maybe "demands" is not quite the right word. Basically there is an ultimatium that I am not allowed to sleep in the bed until the appropriate cookie dough payment is provided.

I also use the Ghirardelli's 60% Cocoa Chips.

Early in our marriage I was accused of eating a 5-pound tub of frozen cookie dough. Although the accusations were correct, it is implied that this was in one sitting. I assure you it was over the course of two weeks.

Ok, ten days.

Based on the overwhelming responses, it looks like eating chocolate chip cookie dough is limited to only us three who all happen to be from Illinois.

Coincidence, I don't think so.

Now, to generate the level of response we are accustomed to here at TMP…

What is the appropriate way of spelling? Cookie or Cooky?

With an 'ie' and I used to eat cookie dough all the time. Used to make cookies a lot. Don't do so much any more, and I would only eat raw dough that I'd produced.

Hello, I'm Joe and I eat raw cookie dough…

My mother would only make cookies when she knew I wasn't going to be home for the afternoon, because otherwise the dough would vanish from the refrigerator when she wasn't looking…

Of course, making chocolate cake from scratch and then getting to lick the pan for the leftovers is a highlight of any kids life.
