Yuck. Being out of shape or overweight is one thing, being obese is another, but to get to 500 pounds you have to engage in years of consecutive bad decision making. I would've never thought to see this sort of thing in real live, though – as ZoneofControl says, it sounds like something out of a Dick Tracy comic. -Alex |

My guess is that he didn't fit through the metal detector. It's a good thing he wasn't actually a violent criminal, he could have smuggled in enough .25 autos for the whole jail…
