I've had a roast cooked with rhubards that was pretty tasty!

My cousin made some excellent rhubarb tarts last weekend… I ate far too many of them.

Never had it as anything but dessert…
Try looking here maybe:

Pork roast. You shave orange peel into a pot with sugar, water and rhubard and add about a half cup of marmelade.

Bring that to a boil and then simmer it for a while. Cook the pork roast in that sauce and that will add a nice sweet flavour to it, the rhubarb will add a touch of tart to it.

Isn't rhubarb one of those you have to cook twice or three times to make it edible?

nycjadie02 Jul 2009 10:46 a.m. PST

You have to cook it a long time, usually with sugar to give it some flavor.

You can eat raw rhubbarb just by dipping it in sugar.

If you aren't a wimp. :)

Dan, is this some sort of bet you've lost?

FusilierDan06 Jul 2009 4:43 a.m. PST

No bets lost. I have a small plant and can only eat so much pie and muffins:-)
