Wargames is moving.. And believe it or not it is not the logistics of moving 9 tons of figures that is the problem, nor is it our customers who are understanding. Here are some of my favorite joys during the move 1. Heat 91 degrees, humidity 103% (ok I exaggerated it is only 89 percent humidity when it is not raining or hailing). It rained & hailed yesterday which fortunately drowned out the tornado sirens. 2. Our new neighbor who keeps trying to get us to change our credit card company. Now how likely am I to have or merchant ID on me, since it is not yet tattooed to my left breast? 3. AT&T probably enough said. A month ago I made arrangements to transfer service. Yesterday I called to verify only to be told that the order was not completed, and my first available install date was 6/26. Not terribly convenient since my IT guy is coming on 6/19, the date I set up a MONTH ago. 2.75 hours on the phone with 3 different people and at one point I was told by the improperly titled "customer service" rep "I can not continue to permit you to remain on hold for a supervisor." Translation my time is valuable, and yours is not, so suck it up. When confronted with an obstacle Bax says I am like Sherman marching to the Sea. (Coming from a southerner, this is probably not a compliment.) Install is scheduled for tomorrow, my original date reappeared after I said to agent number 4, "you know there are other providers and they are starting to look real good to me" 4. "you know there are other providers and they are starting to look real good to me" Maybe try this on # 2? |

Its always something
When we moved the moving van driver pulled in to an Ohio truck stop, got busted for soliciting, and our stuff sat in the truck stop for two weeks because no-one knew where it was. The moving company even hinted that they thought WE had absconded with their truck. As a result, I advise everyone not to use Allied Van Lines. |

I'm moving in two days
got #3, too, just replace At&T with "Bell". 3 services to change; TV, Tel, Internet. Of course, you have to call three different numbers (with the waiting that comes with it), because it would be way too simple to be able to do everything with the same guy! I hate moving. I hate it so very, very, very much. (serenity now!) I remind myself that the new place is entirely worth it. And I get to live with the girl I love. |

I didn't think service like that existed anymore. I don't think it does in Oz, NZ or Singapore, but I have never lived in the States. I moved three months ago and it took one phone call to transfer power and water, and one more to transfer phone, net and cable. Everything was done on the button. Moving was still a pain though. My last two Internet transfers only took one call each. Then they got screwed up. The first one connected our ADSL to a unconnected line, ending somewhere unreachable inside a wall. The second, who only had to transfer from one service to another, disconnected one, but wasn't sure when the new one would be connected. They were after a very intense phone call which made my cell phone blush. |

I'm still waiting for Tiscali to go with their threatened court action against me for the bill that they admit I paid
but then, I think they probably have bigger problems to sort :) :) :) |

ArchiducCharles, What does your wife think about you living with the girl you love? |
