pipes could be seen spewing liquid believed to be ammonia
The Garner plant is known for producing Slim Jim beef jerky products. I never knew Slim Jims contained ammonia. Hope they find the missing workers soon, and in good health. |

The stories being posted are vacilating between two and three missing, still, so it's hard to call. And to top it all off, they had to call off search and cleanup operations due to thunderstorms

Yup, local TV news was all over the story yesterday. Long ago, I lived about 2 miles from the site of the plant. Forest and cropland back then (1958). Still one missing as of the news just now (06:15 EST), unfortunately the other two missing were found to have died in the explosion. |
