I sometimes get other people's figures to repaint. Generally I can do this without stripping paint and you could never tell they originally had a problem. Just now I have a couple of thousand 28mm figures to repaint which were originally painted (painted is perhaps too kind a word) by another asian painting service. These are just terrible! The paint must have been brushed on with a decorating brush. link These figures were painted to the other companies highest standard. This company does some nice work and has great images on their web site. It seems they just can't handle large orders or are over burdened now. For whatever reason, now I have a whole load of figures to srip! |

Ive seen worse, I have some here that are twice that bad as they are painted in 3-4 colors only. |

They look like the minis I paint :-) But for a professional paintinmg service they are not acceptable esp. if itīs their highest standard. |

This is what I got from the customer when I asked if they came back this way as being finished: "Hi Neil Yes that's how they came. The would do some and take photos as sample for approval, when approved they would do what they liked and not check against sample we sent out. They had already done about 20 battalions of line when the blue comb! This is what they got for almost four dollars. This service does paint some good minis, and their web site is filled with great work. It seems that they let themselves down on large orders. >the paint looks like an antique white???? I think they were going to ink the figure after this and then highlight it with white. The figure was never finished. They just demanded full payment and pretended it was finished when they shipped. A bit cheeky! Adrian" |

Yikes, that is terrible for the price. For any price actually. I hope the customer names the company on this site or somewhere. I understand you would not want to do so. I have used three Asian painting services over the last couple of years; yours and two others. I have been very happy with two out of three; namely yours and one other – which I won't name because I don't want to hi-jack the thread. I was not-so-much-unhappy-but-a bit-underwhelmed with the third, which again I won't name as the work was not THAT bad. Admittedly I have never sent an order in the thousands, but it would be nice to know if standards are slipping at a service. |

Well I have used Fernando on 3 separate occasions and have been very happy with their services. So I hope it is not them! But I have never sent thousands of figures either. Ralph |
