After a few fits and stops, my son has a topic for his chemistry science project. Actually, he's mostly done, but he's asked me if I know anyone who has been working with genetically modified grains. Given the cast of characters here on TMP, I figure this will be the best place to start. He's looking to do a quick Q&A with someone currently in the field (or within the past two years) – specifically rice – as well as its applications regarding global warming. PM or e-mail me at wiattheodd (at) aol (dot) com Thanks in advance!!! Wyatt |

We had a tour speaker come through here talking about 'golden rice' some time back. It's some sort of transgenic thing designed to get some nutrient into folks that need it. |
