Never eat chips, eat salad sandwiches and remain young.

Whatever works.

That IS good advice, btw. Go easy on the dressing and other goo, or else all is counter-productive of nothing.

I am in the middle: I don't eat chips, OR salad sandwiches, but PBJ's and their ilk are consumed in quantities….

Seems a bit involved for a mnemonic, but it works.

Pardon my ignorance, but what's that a mnemonic for?

Its for the spelling of "necessary".

jizbrand26 May 2009 4:13 p.m. PST

For what's necessary.

I always have trouble with the esses and the cee, so the first 6 letters are a great help.

Doug, on the otherhand is a culinary barbarian.

A salad sandwich sounds like the silliest thing in the world.

Nobody remains young, unless you count being dead.

Never had an egg salad sandwich? Or a chicken (or tuna) salad sandwich?

Ed Mohrmann27 May 2009 7:50 a.m. PST

Or a tomato sandwich with lettuce and Mayo ?

Lentulus28 May 2009 3:53 a.m. PST

Seriously, thanks. Spelling necessary is often a problem for me.

Why is 'Mnemonic' such a hard word to remember how to spell?

Almost as bad as 'Dyslexia'

Never had an egg salad sandwich? Or a chicken (or tuna) salad sandwich?

Well, not for my health.
