Like the title says! I was struck (ow!) by the Kokoda trail topic a while back, and decided to do a little research at the local shops, and haven't really been able to find anything in print, to my chagrin (bear in mind I *am* a Yank), and my friend who works for a military publisher is looking into it as well and will get back to me, but I thought I'd ask here as well. What I'm looking for are books on the Australian campaigns in the SW Pacific campaigns in WWII; New Guinea, the Solomons, etc. Any help is appreciated; they can be out of print or whatever; I just think this is a very interesting area that should be better brought to the attention of *ahem* certain people. Thanks! |

'Touched by fire' by Eric M. Bergerud isn't specifically about Australians, but they are covered in it and it's an interesting read about this area of operations from grunt's perspective. |
