Like the title says! I was struck (ow!) by the Kokoda trail topic a while back, and decided to do a little research at the local shops, and haven't really been able to find anything in print, to my chagrin (bear in mind I *am* a Yank), and my friend who works for a military publisher is looking into it as well and will get back to me, but I thought I'd ask here as well.

What I'm looking for are books on the Australian campaigns in the SW Pacific campaigns in WWII; New Guinea, the Solomons, etc. Any help is appreciated; they can be out of print or whatever; I just think this is a very interesting area that should be better brought to the attention of *ahem* certain people.

Thanks!

'Touched by fire' by Eric M. Bergerud isn't specifically about Australians, but they are covered in it and it's an interesting read about this area of operations from grunt's perspective.

"A Bastard Of A Place" – All about Australians in New Guinea. Very good book and not out of print.
