I have a dilemma
My 14 yr old son went on a school trip to Japan and got himself a leaflet delivery job to earn his spending money. Whilst there he bought a PSP (with some help) and also bought a game called "monster Hunter Portable 2G" or similar title. Problem was the damn thing is entirely in Japanese so no good to him. I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how I can flog this off for him and get him his 40 bucks (aus) back, or near enough. Ebay was no joy
. Any advice gratefully received. |

I'm surprised that you couldn't sell it on e-bay (unless you started your price too high) as there is a market for the Japanese versions of a lot of games here in the US. It might be because "Monster Hunter G" is "Monster Hunter Freedom" in the English-speaking part of the world, so it's already available. link Looking at US ebay, there are plenty of sales of the product at $43 USD and up. List it as used, start it at $25 USD and see what happens. On another tact, look online for anime stores in your neck of the woods, you may find a place that'll give you store credit in exchange. He may also know of some anim/manga-loving classmates who might be willing to buy it off of him. Just some thoughts, Wyatt |

A group of Monster Hunter fans put together an English translation of the game, which you add to your copy of the original by way of a patcher. Locate the downloadable file "PapimeruPSP", copy it to your PSP's GAME folder, and run the patch. Regards, the Gorb |

thanks very much for the advice guys; I'll try the patch first and if not I'll go for the ebay angle again, cheers Jon. |
