We may have potentially dodged a bullet here, folks. I for one, am relieved, but what about the potential "big one"? One hopes that this little episode will light a fire underneath those responsible to have a realistic contingency plan for a future outbreak.

OK. I've disarmed all the booby traps around my fortified bunker (which I've affectionately named "Wildfire") and have stood down my homemade doomsday device. C'mon over. Let's have lunch, sometime. evil grin

Back in the 90s I had a semi-major freakout after listening to Art Bell talk about the Ebola virus… making it sound like it was 'The Big One'.
I spent the whole summer coming to terms with my own mortality…
Since then I've become much more relaxed regarding the end of the world.
